Happy Thursday!
July 4th is just around the corner, and the town is buzzing with fun events left and right. Bets are starting to go in between neighbors whether Dave from down the street is going to end up paying that $1000 firework fine he’s been budgeting for six months.

we all know it was Sharon who told on Dave…
This is a good time to remind you of some fireworks laws around Chino: https://www.cityofchino.org/430/Fireworks. There are some regions where you cannot have them, so check out the policy before your festivities turn into a HOA bicker 🎆
Let’s get into it.

🌽 A Fresh Take on Tamales at Super Gogi

Calling all adventurous foodies! If you think you've tried every kind of tamale out there, Super Gogi might surprise you. This local favorite puts a Korean-inspired spin on a traditional Mexican classic, blending bold flavors with handmade masa packed with generous portions and plenty of creativity. It's the kind of combination that sounds unexpected at first, but somehow just works.
The Bulgogi Tamale has quickly become a standout, with tender, flavorful pear & soy marinated beef chunks wrapped in perfectly moist masa and finished with grilled kimchi, melted cheese, butter gochujang sauce, and garlic crema. Whether you're already a fan of Korean food or just looking to try something new, there's plenty to love here.
Beyond the food, Super Gogi is known for the people behind it. Customers consistently mention the welcoming service and the genuine passion the owners bring to every event. They can be found Friday Nights at The Chino Night Market, 5-10pm, and are returning to action on July 17th.
If you happen to spot Super Gogi around Chino, it's worth stopping by — or hire them for your next party if you can’t get enough! It's a fun twist on a familiar favorite, and one that leaves a lasting impression long after the last bite.

🎆 Chino Hills Celebrates America 250 with a Surprise Finale

Families packed Veterans Park Tuesday evening as the City of Chino Hills celebrated Independence Day and America's 250th anniversary with an evening full of patriotic fun. The celebration featured interactive game booths, strolling entertainment, live performances by the Band of the California Battalion, an opening ceremony, and a headlining concert by the Eagles & Linda Ronstadt Experience. Kids enjoyed free wristbands for the activity booths while families gathered to enjoy food, music, and a festive community atmosphere ahead of the Fourth of July.
While the event was originally announced without a fireworks display, attendees were treated to an unexpected surprise after sunset. Courtesy of San Bernardino County Supervisor Curt Hagman, a synchronized drone show lit up the night sky with patriotic designs and a special Chino Hills tribute, giving the community a memorable finale that had the crowd looking up in awe.
The drone show may have marked the end of the evening, but it's only the beginning of a busy holiday weekend around Chino Valley. Keep reading to see what else is happening in the days ahead.
