🏗️ Chino held public scoping meeting on $150M Euclid Avenue bridge project—30-foot elevation over Prado Basin to prevent flood closures. Construction begins summer 2027. Comments due Feb. 11 at [email protected].
I attended, and there was pretty good resident turn out. Questions from the audience included: ADA-compliant sidewalks, project timeline, height of bridge. More such meetings to come at each step.
Community
💰 Chino Valley Unified School Board voted 4-1 for 107% raise ($966 to $2,000 monthly) under AB1390. Law allows increases for first time since 1984.
🚑 Court of Appeals ruled San Bernardino County can consider other ambulance proposals over AMR, potentially ending AMR's 40+ year exclusive contract.
