HELLO CHEWIES! Buckle Up, it’s an ACTION-PACKED issue. 🤠
I’M WRITING IN ALL CAPS CUZ I’M PUMPED FOR OUR EVENT TOMORROW!
In case you missed it, The Chino Chew is throwing the first inaugural in-person event tomorrow, a wine tasting (there’s room for a one or two more, so you can grab last ticket if you want!). 🍷
Many of you don’t know me in person yet (I’ll drop a “About Me” when we reach 10k subs😉), but I love throwing parties. The more non-reason it is for the party, the better. Jason finally changed his toothbrush? LET’S GO. PARTY.🎉
I hope to bring lots of more fun events to Chino! 😀

i try to avoid drinking jokes but this was too funny
Anyways. Here’s the Holiday countdown:
15 days until Thanksgiving 🦃
43 days until Christmas 🎄
50 days until the New Year ❄
Let’s get into it.

We’re going over Chino’s General Plan together. This week: What You Said You Wanted.
Over 2,350 Chino residents weighed in on the General Plan - through surveys, open houses, stakeholder meetings, and online feedback. The message came through loud and clear: keep what makes Chino special while planning smart for the future.
Top priorities? Preserving our small-town feel where neighbors know each other by name and generations put down roots together. Residents want excellent community services - our police, firefighters, and first responders working hand-in-hand with the community. They want downtown to stay vibrant with its historic charm, festivals, and local businesses. People love our parks and green spaces with the San Gabriel Mountains as our backdrop, and they want safe streets that connect neighborhoods to schools, shopping, and recreation.
The vision is about balance: a city with housing, jobs, and entertainment for all ages and incomes, while staying memorable as a safe, livable community. Attractive corridors, revitalized shopping centers that actually serve residents, and strategic infrastructure investments that benefit everyone. The 2045 General Plan takes these priorities and turns them into concrete policies and actions.
Next time: how Chino's location and economy are shaping our future.

Here are some things that happened around us, in… 180 seconds or less:
