June is almost over and 4th of July celebrations are brewing all over town.

i know chino goes all out for fireworks

This is a good time to remind you of some fireworks laws around Chino: https://www.cityofchino.org/430/Fireworks. There are some regions where you cannot have them, so check out the policy before your festivities turn into a HOA bicker ๐ŸŽ†

๐ŸŽฎ Escape Reality at Odyssey VR Corona

If you're looking for something different to do locally, Odyssey VR offers an experience that goes beyond the typical arcade or gaming center. The space combines virtual reality attractions, immersive games, and social gathering areas, making it a popular destination for everything from family outings to birthday celebrations.

One thing that stands out is the variety. Whether you're a longtime gamer or someone trying virtual reality for the first time, there are plenty of experiences to choose from. Visitors can spend an hour exploring or make a full day of it with the all-day pass, which gives you the opportunity to try much more of what the venue has to offer.

The experience is supported by a staff that is known for being helpful and attentive, and the food was surprisingly great for an arcade โ€” we got the wagyu sliders and affogato, and it was definitely a sweet treat that hit the spot while we were gaming. You can check out our full reel review here.

One of the biggest misconceptions about buying a home is that you need a 20% down payment to get started. While putting 20% down can help you avoid certain costs, many buyers qualify with much less. Conventional loans can allow as little as 3% down, FHA loans may require just 3.5% down, and eligible veterans may qualify for VA loans with 100% financing. There are even down payment assistance programs available that can help reduce upfront costs.

If a large down payment has been keeping homeownership off your radar, it may be worth exploring your options. You might be closer than you think.

And if you're already enjoying everything our area has to offer this summer, local Realtor Taylor Winkler has created a FREE 2026 Chino Hills Summer Guide featuring local events, favorite restaurants, hidden gems, family activities, and weekend getaway ideas. ๐ŸŽ† Red, White & Boom at Ayala Park

One of Chinoโ€™s biggest summer traditions is back this weekend as the Fireworks Spectacular returns to Ruben S. Ayala Park for two days of food, carnival rides, live entertainment, and a community celebration honoring our Armed Forces heroes.

Festivities begin Friday evening with food vendors, games, rides, and a new concert presented by the Kiwanis Club of Chino. Saturday brings a full day of activities, including vendor booths, live performances from Identity Theft, a military recognition ceremony, and the fireworks show that lights up the sky at 9 PM.

If you're looking for a classic summer outing, this is one of those local events that feels like the official kickoff to Independence Day celebrations in Chino. Bring a blanket, lawn chairs, and settle in for a fun evening with family and friends.
